dimmed

a little heart lit at four corners,
shining at north, south, east, and west,
always glowing at the corners,
yet never a lantern,
corners of light shining upon surface,
inner dimness never prevail,
a little critter that shine like a star,
within inner darkness,
a scarred light that never dim,
but dimmed in core,
like an aging star
