when i wish upon a star
on this dark night,
i sat all alone my shadow next to me,
i came upon the sky,
gazing at you,
blinking and twinkling as though you can speak,
looking down at me like you can feel my emotion,
as i speak with my heart,
you blink once then twice,
i was fond to see you each day,
waiting for your reply,
all in this dark night beneath the sky,
when i came to wish upon a star.

i know i hardly comment but, this is one of my favourites... simple and clear :)
My 0.02 cents piece of advice...
Here's a little edit in my part on the second line. 'i sat all alone with my shadow next to me'. Your former words is okay but the flow was cut off so I suggest this line.
Very sweet poem, it really grabs you and it can reach everyone. Nice!
